Buffalo, NY – Former Buffalo Sabre star Rick Martin was honored Thursday in Buffalo.
Martin died after suffering a heart attack and crashing his car in Clarence a couple of weeks ago. Martin was a Sabres Hall of Famer and a member of the famed French Connection. Martin played for the Sabres from 1971 until he was traded in 1980. He finished his hockey career in Los Angles.
WBFO'S Eileen Buckley put together an audio postcard of some famous Martin moments in hockey.
The Peace Bridge announced that as part of the public tribute, the Bridge will be illuminated in Buffalo Sabres colors Thursday evening.
