Buffalo, NY – In an announcement made yesterday, Niagara County Community College President James Klyczek revealed that plans are being made for the donation of the Rainbow Centre Mall to the college.
Negotiations for the sale of the property to the school have long been stalled, but Baltimore developer David Cordish claims that he is prepared to present the multi-million dollar property to the school for its Hospitality and Tourism Center and Culinary Institute. An adjoining one acre property would be included with the deal.
The school would utilize approximately one third of the mall, while the remainder would be available for development by the city.
Layers of government approval must be secured before the deal can be consummated.
