Buffalo, NY – Election 2009 is history. The two incumbents for county-wide office who were seeking re-election won -- Sheriff Timothy Howard and Comptroller Mark Poloncarz. And Republicans captured three seats in the County Legislature, reducing the Democratic majority to nine to six.

Bruce Fisher is director of the Center for Economic and Policy Studies at Buffalo State College. He joined WBFO's Christopher Jamele for some analysis of the results.
