Buffalo, NY – Governor David Paterson has announced that the Home Energy Assistance Program or HEAP in New York will open tomorrow.
The maximum energy benefit from the federally funded program has been increased to seven hundred dollars per household.
Applications will be mailed to previous recipients. New applicants should visit the department of social services office.
More than one point five million dollars in HEAP benefits were distributed last year.
