Buffalo, NY – Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital will hold a grand opening Tuesday morning for its new lobby, surgical waiting room and admissions area.
The new space is part of a 100-thousand square foot addition that's being built at the hospital's Maple Road complex in Amherst. It will house a 38 bed emergency department, ten operating room suites and 68 additional inpatient beds.
Millard Fillmore Suburban President Christopher Lane says the expansion will be completed by next June. He said work will then begin on renovating the hospital's existing space.
Total cost of the expansion project at Millard Fillmore Suburban is $64 million.
