Buffalo, NY – High consumer demand and hot weather are being blamed for the failure of an electric substation in Eggertsville that knocked out power to over 4,000 customers late Tuesday afternoon.
National Grid crews worked through the overnight hours and into Wednesday morning to restore power. As of 8:30am, 500 customers were still without service. Full restoration was expected by noon Wednesday.
