Buffalo, NY – It's literally a must-win game for the Buffalo Sabres Wednesday night. Lose, and their season is over. Buffalo takes on the Ottawa Senators in Game Four of the Eastern Conference Finals, with the Senators holding a three-games to none lead. Face off is shortly after 7:00 in Ottawa.

The Sabres ended the regular season with the league's best record. But throughout the playoffs, and especially in this series against Ottawa, the team has simply not played at the level fans saw last season when they made their unexpected run through the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Paul Wieland is former communications director for the Buffalo Sabres. He now teaches broadcast journalism at St. Bonaventure University. Wieland joined us on the phone late Tuesday afternoon.
