Buffalo, NY – The pool of potential Democratic candidates running for Erie County Executive just got smaller. County Legislature Chair Lynn Marinelli announced Monday she won't be throwing her hat into the ring.
Marinelli said a lack of money is one of the reasons why.
"If you run for any office, particulary one of this size, and to win, you need money," Marinelli said. "Money was a factor."
Marinelli says she is endorsing fellow Democrat and former Deputy County Executive, James Keane. She says they share the same ideas about reforming county government.
Marinelli says she plans to seek re-election to her seat as the County Legislature's 11th district representative and hopes to be re-elected as Legislature Chair.
