Buffalo, NY – New York State Assembly Majority Leader Paul Tokasz is retiring.
Tokasz made the formal announcement Thursday at his home in Cheektowaga. He says he wants to spend more time with his family and less time in Albany.
Tokasz, a Democrat, was first elected to the Assembly in 1988, and he was appointed Majority Leader in 2001.
His current term ends in December.
