By News Staff

Buffalo, NY – Listen to WBFO's midday newscast at your convenience. We are now offering it as a "podcast" for download to your iPod or other MP3 player. Or you can simply click the Windows Media icon to hear a stream of the newscast right now over your computer.

Thursday's newscast: The Erie County Legislature may vote on a sales tax increase Thursday. Mayor-elect Byron Brown says he'll name his transition team next week. Meanwhile, the unions which supported Brown say they're not asking for anything of him but the opportunity to be part of the discussion on the city's future. And Senator Charles Schumer presents Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito with a list of 60 questions he might ask at confirmation hearings.
