Writer Nancy Pearl to Share Love of Books

By Mark Scott

Buffalo, NY – She is, perhaps, the nation's most famous librarian. Nancy Pearl, the author of "Book Lust" and the upcoming "More Book Lust," will share her love of reading at the downtown library Wednesday afternoon.

You've heard her interviewed by "Morning Edition's" Steve Inskeep several times in the past year. Nancy Pearl is described as a literary diva, so much so, that she was the model for the best-selling "Library Action Figure" that you may have seen.

Nancy Pearl will present "The Perils and Pearls of Reading," Wednesday at 12noon in the auditorium of the downtown library. Later, she'll lead a workshop at UB's Health Sciences Library on the South Campus.
