Buffalo, NY – It doesn't appear that Erie County Executive Joel Giambra will challenge incumbent Democrat Charles Schumer in this year's Senate campaign.
Sources tell the Buffalo News that Giambra told state party officials in a visit to Albany yesterday that he will not run this year due to family reasons. Giambra is neither confirming nor denying the report.
His office tells WBFO News that he's out-of-town through Monday and is unavailable for comment.
