Local Comedy Troupe Parodies "All Things Considered"

By Joyce Kryszak

Buffalo, NY – Having a hard time finding just the right stocking stuffer for that NPR addict in your life? The local comedy troupe, a Cast of Thousands, offers the perfect last minute solution. Former local public radio reporter Mike Mroziak, along with Mark Allen Holt and Keith Bielmier bring you an irreverent version of NPR with their latest CD, "All Things Contorted."

Poking fun at the news and other socially relevant issues is nothing new for Mroziak and his old college pals. They've been putting together parodies on CD since 1997. Their work has been featured on the internet and on syndicated shows like Doctor Demento.

WBFO's Joyce Kryszak sat down with Mroziak and had a listen to what he's been up to since he left the dubiously serious world of public radio. Click the "listen" icon above to hear their conversation.

You can find their latest CD, "All Things Contorted," beginning Monday, at New World Record and both Talking Leaves Bookstores in Buffalo, and at Jackson Music on Grand Island. The CD and their others are also available online at ampcast.com/acastofthousands.
