Buffalo, NY – Vice President Dick Cheney spent Monday raising money across New York State. His appearances at events in Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo were expected to net the Bush-Cheney re-election campaign as much as $1 million.
It marked the first time Dick Cheney visited Buffalo as vice president. The last time George W. Bush was here prior to the Republican presidential primary in 2000. Some Republican leaders in New York are saying President Bush could carry New York next year, something a GOP presidential candidate has not done since 1984.
