Buffalo, NY – Charitable giving to non-profits in Erie County dropped in 2002.
The Community Foundation of Greater Buffalo and the United Way Wednesday released the second annual report card on charitable giving. The report finds that there was a 6.5 percent drop in personal giving. Business donations declined by 23 percent.
But the report indicates that local donations are comparable to national trends.
It also finds that individual giving remains the largest source of charitable contributions to non-profits in the county.
