Buffalo, NY – One political career came to end while another is just beginning in Buffalo. Acting City Comptroller Andrew SanFilippo, running for public office for the first time, defeated James Pitts Tuesday to win election to a four-year term as the city's chief fiscal officer. For Pitts, it marks the end of a 25-year career in city government.
