Simpson Confirmed by SUNY Board as UB President

Albany, NY – The SUNY Board of Trustees Tuesday unanimously approved John Simpson as president of the University at Buffalo.

Simpson, who takes office January 1st, will succeed the William Greiner. Simpson is currently executive vice chancellor and provost of the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Simpson was recommended to the SUNY trustees by Chancellor Robert King following a nationwide search.
