Buffalo, NY – The first and only face-to-face debate in this year's race for Erie County Executive takes place Thursday night. Incumbent Republican Joel Giambra squares off against Democrat Daniel Ward at the WNED studios in downtown Buffalo.
With his large war chest, Joel Giambra has been buying TV and radio ads. His opponent, Dan Ward, doesn't have as much money and has been holding frequent news conferences to get his message out. Thursday night, they'll be on the same stage, debating the issues.
