Quinn Pushes City on Meeting Waterfront Deadlines

By Mark Scott

Buffalo, NY – Congressman Jack Quinn continues to monitor construction along Buffalo's waterfront. He toured the Naval and Servicemen's Park Monday, expressing concerns that work is a little behind scheduled.

Quinn created a construction timetable for waterfront projects in December, and says he is eager to see results. He called on the mayor and his team to stick to the planned deadlines.

"Our goal is to keep all these projects on time -- to keep the projects on track, so that we see activity going on behind us like you see today," Quinn said. "We'll be back the last week in July to cut some ribbons and to dedicate the Servicemen's park, one of the first phases of the rest of the inner harbor work that'll eventually hook up with our outer harbor."

To date, nine key waterfront projects have received more than $65 million in federal funding.
