Buffalo, NY – Buffalo Mayor Anthony Masiello says state lawmakers in Albany continued talks Tuesday about the "final makeup" of a control board for the city. Masiello says the remaining issue centers around additional control board members from the state Assembly and Senate.
But Masiello says his biggest concern is making sure this board has the power and ability to change Buffalo's finances. Masiello says he has provided input to legislative leaders on the board's make up.
"I've had substantial dialogue with the people in Albany who have influence over Buffalo's future," Masiello said. "Certainly, Governor Pataki and his staff are some of the people I've talked to.
"So, yes, I've had input into the process."
Masiello says he must deliver a four year finance plan to the control board on or around September first.
