Buffalo, NY – While most sun-deprived Western New Yorkers are looking forward to the dog days of summer, the winter-loving members of the Snow and Ice Management Association are currently hosting their sixth annual snow symposium right here in Buffalo. It's both an educational and trade show event.
Exhibitors representing manufacturers and suppliers are displaying the latest snow removal technologies at the Buffalo Convention Center. The Executive Director for the Snow and Ice Management Association, Tammy Higham, says the exhibits are helpful.
"Any contractor or municipality, any facility manager that has the headache of dealing with snow and ice management in the winter will definitely take something away from the show."
Workshops on topics such as snow removal, dispatching crews more effectively and maintenance contracts are also being held.
