Buffalo, NY – An Amish buggy crash in rural Cattaraugus County Sunday claimed the lives of two children.
Authorities say members of the Miller family -- two parents and seven children -- were traveling in the town of Leon when the horse guiding their buggy was spooked.
They say the horse and buggy went off the roadway and into a pond.
A 12-year-old child and a four-month-old baby drowned.
Six of the other seven family members were checked out at Lake Shore and Tri-County Memorial Hospitals and released. The mother, Barbara Miller, was admitted for further treatment of her injuries.
