Buffalo, NY – About 300 area residents turned out for a peace demonstration in the Elmwood strip area Sunday.
The Western New York Peace Center sponsored the gathering, which featured "No War Against Iraq" signs, chanting, speeches, and singing.
The local rally at Elmwood Avenue and Bidwell Parkway was one of several peace rallies planned across the country yesterday, as President Bush tries to rally support for a military strike against the Saddam Hussein regime in Iraq.
