Buffalo, NY – A fungal infection may result in a less colorful display of fall foliage in Buffalo.
City foresters say most of the Norway maples that line city streets are affected by the fungus. It appears as tar-like spots on the leaves.
The infection causes the leaves to drop prematurely. It is not believed the fungus is a serious threat to the trees, even though it is difficult to treat.
