Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Zoo held a reduced-admission holiday Thursday, and it went without incident.
On Memorial Day, vandalism and rowdiness were widespread as admission fees had been waived. Zoo directors decided to charge half price rather than free admission for the July 4th holiday.
Beefed up security also helped keep things calm and uneventful for the estimated 12,000 people who visited the zoo.
