Brooklyn Couple Offered Plea Deal in Slepian Case

By Mark Wozniak

Buffalo, NY – A couple from Brooklyn accused of helping James Kopp elude authorities who wanted him in connection with the slaying of abortion provider Dr. Barnett Slepian may face reduced prison sentences due to a plea deal.

The Buffalo News reports that Dennis Malvasi and Loretta Marra are being offered leniency because they helped convice Kopp to agree to extradition from France to stand trial in the Slepian case.

Malvasi and Marra are currently being held without bail in Buffalo by federal authorities.
