Albany, NY – Governor Pataki says every possible precaution is being taken to ensure the safety of New Yorkers during the Fourth of July holiday.
At a Capitol news conference Tuesday, Pataki outlined security measures in general terms.
Surrounded by state police, forest rangers and park police Pataki said security will increase statewide during the holiday.
Pataki said no specific terrorist threats exists against any New York target, and that terrorists should not "take away our ability to enjoy this wonderful, patriotic weekend."
