In a surprise move by the Buffalo Bills, veteran running back LeSean McCoy has been released. The 31-year-old McCoy entered training camp as the presumptive starter, but it appears that the team saw more potential in 36-year-old Frank Gore and third round draft pick Devin Singletary, both new to the team this year.
McCoy struggled last year, gaining a career low 514 yards and scoring only three rushing touchdowns in 2018.
General Manager Brandon Beane said the team could not find an agreeable trade for McCoy and that cutting the back was a difficult decision.
