Bills fire offensive coordinator Rick Dennison

Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have fired one of their top coaches. The team announced Friday morning it has parted ways with offensive coordinator Rick Dennison.

Dennison had just completed his first season in Buffalo under first-year head coach Sean McDermott. He came to the Bills from Denver, where he led the Broncos' offense for the previous two seasons.

The move was not unexpected. Despite making the playoffs, the Bills ranked toward the bottom of the league in several key offensive categories.

Earlier this week, Bills General Manager Brandon Beane said, "We're not satisfied with the whole offense...we know we have to get better on offense, on defense, on special teams."

Questions surround the future of the Bills' offense. The team has a key decision to make on whether to move forward with, or move on from, quarterback Tyrod Taylor. The Bills have two first-round picks and two second-round picks in the NFL Draft.
