Time Warner Cable and the National Football League reached an agreement Friday that will allow the cable giant to carry the league-owned NFL Network and its affiliated RedZone channel.
The NFL Network will be available to Time Warner digital subscribers, starting this Sunday. It will be carried in the Buffalo area on Channel 187, while the HD signal will be on Channel 1086.
The Red Zone Channel, which switches to various games on Sundays when teams enter their opponents' 20 yard line, will be available to Sports Pass subscribers who pay an extra $6 a month.
No word on how much Time Warner is paying for the NFL Network.
The cable company was the last provider in the nation to reach an agreement with the NFL. Their dispute had lasted nine years.
The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins will meet in an NFL Network Thursday night game on November 15th. If the game at Ralph Wilson Stadium sells out, it will also be telecast locally on WBBZ-TV.
