Tim Hogues is moving from Erie County Commissioner of Senior Services to County Commissioner of Personnel. County Executive Mark Poloncarz announced the appointment effective immediately, although it must be confirmed by the Legislature.
"Throughout his years of service to Erie County, Tim’s hard work ethic and ability to work effectively with all people to creatively solve problems has brought positive change, improving outcomes wherever he has been,” said Poloncarz. “Tim also had a successful tenure as a leader in the private sector with PCB Piezotronics and Delphi Coporation, with a focus on leadership and organizational effectiveness. I know his county and private sector experience will be critical in his leadership role as Personnel Commissioner and will help to reinvigorate that department."
Hogues had been Senior Services Commissioner since 2016, where he also had experience as Community Planning Coordinator and Long Term Care Coordinator. Before that, he represented Buffalo as Erie County Legislator from 2012-13.
