State Senate will resume legislative session next Tuesday

File photo

Lawmakers from the New York State Senate will resume work next Tuesday as they try to bring the legislative session to a close. The session has largely been focused on New York City's expiring rent regulations in recent days, frustrating Democratic Senator Marc Panepinto, who feels issues important to Western New York will fall through the cracks.

WBFO's Jay Moran spoke with Panepinto on Friday's Morning Edition.

Meanwhile, Republican State Senator Patrick Gallivan acknowledges the focus on New York City rent regulations, but also highlights some positives of the session, including what he says is budget controlled spending that focused on economic development.

WBFO's Jay Moran spoke with Gallivan about the session on Morning Edition.
