Salvatore and business partner sued over COVID allegations

Mike Desmond

Russell Salvatore is facing accusations of unjustly firing the former head of maintenance for Russell’s Steaks, Chops & More and Salvatore’s Grand Hotel and committing COVID-19 violations.

The Coppola Firm has filed a lawsuit against Salvatore and his business partner Mark Jerge claiming Jerge continued to work after testing positive for COVID-19.

Coppola claims when the maintenance worker raised concerns about working with Jerge after his positive test, Salvatore berated and defamed the worker before firing them this month.

“The New York Labor Law protects whistleblowers who raise complaints about working conditions that place public health and safety at risk or who object to working in conditions that pose a public danger. His decision to raise complaints to protect the public cost the maintenance worker his job.”

WBFO has reached out to Russell Salvatore for comment.
