Winter Weather Advisory for 3 to 5 inches of snow

All of Western New York is under a winter weather advisory. It takes effect at 1:00 Sunday afternoon and continues through 7:00 Monday morning.

The National Weather Service is forecasting three to five inches of accumulation across the region.

The snow will begin falling during Sunday afternoon's Bills-Steelers game at New Era Field. Meteorologist Aaron Reynolds says drivers going to and from the game will need to be cautious.

"There will be light snowfall, so we expect some accumulation," Reynolds said. "Roads and sidewalks may be slippery if they're not treated."

The lake effect snow that buried ski country has ended. East Concord in southern Erie County recorded more than three feet of snow.

Temperatures Monday will moderate into the upper 30s with the precipitation changing to light rain and drizzle. But cold temperatures with lows in the single digits are expected later this week along with more lake effect snow.
