Burchfield Center celebrates Americana

The Burchfield Nature and Art Center in West Seneca is celebrating "Americana" Sunday afternoon.

The free music festival will also have plenty of food, plus kids activities. The League of Women Voters will even be on hand to help people register to vote.

Organizer Paula Minklei says several community-minded musicians are contributing their talents.

"We think it's a perfect time to celebrate our American heritage," Minklei said. "There will be a sing-along. Well known patriotic and historically popular tunes will be provided by four groups of musicians."

The musicians are the Parkside Avenue Brass Band, guitarist Tom Hoolihan, the Red, White and Blues Band and the West Seneca Town Band. The festival runs through 6pm.

The Burchfield Center is located on Union Road between Indian Church Road and Clinton Street.
