Zoo’s lion cubs make public debut

The Buffalo Zoo's new lion cubs will make their official public debut Saturday. WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley tells us how the new African lion cubs play an important conservation  role.

The Zoo gates opens Saturday at 10 a.m.  The public can view the lion cubs starting at 10:30.

The Lion cubs were born in two separate litters.  The first, Tobias, arrived in March and three others were born in May.

Zookeepers and lion exhibit sponsor Roar Logistics have already named two cubs, but the naming of a female cub is being voting on by the public. There were three options: LuLu, Amirah and Lelia, for the public to vote out that closed out Friday. At 11 a.m. Saturday the Zoo will reveal the winning name for the female cub.
