Infant dies after crash in Buffalo

Chris Caya WBFO News

An investigation into a crash that claimed the life of a seven-month-old girl on Buffalo's East Side continues.

Police Lt. Thomas Leatherbarrow says it appears two women were pushing an infant in a stroller along the curb in the 300 block of Moselle Street when they were struck by a southbound vehicle.

"We have not had an opportunity to speak with the mom. She was too distraught to give us a statement last night," Leatherbarrow said Monday.

The mother refused medical treatment. Leatherbarrow says her cousin remains in stable condition in Erie County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The 44-year-old male driver has not been charged.
