Man critically wounded in downtown shooting

An shooting early Sunday in downtown Buffalo critically wounded a man.

Detectives in the Buffalo police department say a 31-year-old man was found shot outside his vehicle in a parking lot at Chippewa and Pearl Streets. He was taken to the Erie County Medical Center.

Detectives are trying to determine where the shooting occurred. It happened around 3:30am.

Police are also investigating a stabbing incident late Saturday afternoon. A 17-year-old male was stabbed at Potomac Avenue and Herkimer Street. He was taken to to ECMC for treatment of non-life threatening wounds.
