With concerns over the spread of the Zika (ZEE ka) virus growing, New York State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Howard Zucker, is providing public information. A webinar will be presented on Monday at 1 in the afternoon. The virus is spread through bites by infected mosquitos and cannot be transmitted through human contact. It is currently a significant problem in South American countries. The infection of a pregnant woman can cause certain birth defects.
