Albany is urging high school sports coaches to help students drive safely. New York Health Commissioner Howard Zucker states that a new program utilizes the influence that coaches have over students. Posters and talking points for coaches help bring attention to the greatest risks facing teen drivers. They include alcohol, texting, speeding, and distractions from passengers.

The program is being promoted during National Teen Driver Safety Week, which begins on Sunday.

Saturday & Sunday 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.
