Buffalo is once again about to be a star, this time on a television pilot. And on Sunday at noon, that show will be screened with the producers' hopes they'll raise enough funds to push it forward and become a series.
On Sunday, beginning at noon, the producers of Why I Murdered My Roommate will host a screening of the pilot episode. Show creator and co-writer Tilke Hill describes it as a dark comedy about a search for female friendship that ends up in murder.
"Buffalo is portrayed through all of the locations as a character," Hill said. "The lead character is on the run from the law and tells the story in flashback."
Scenes in the pilot were shot at locations including Silo City, the Knox Farm in East Aurora, Ukrainian Dnipro Home on Genesee Street and last spring's Dyngus Day parade.
Tickets for the screening, as well as more information about how the project is raising funds to develop into a series, can be found by clicking here.
"We would like it to be on an internet streaming platform such as Netflix or Amazon Prime," Hill said. "We sort of see this binge watching as a future. We would like to have people binge watch our show."
