Negotiations between the union representing caregivers at Fiddler's Green Manor Nursing Home and the owners of the Springville facility will resume on September 10th. Workers have approved issuing a notice to strike if progress is not made on new contract demands. Employees are seeking higher pay, affordable healthcare and other benefits.
Workers at the facility voted to join the 1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East in January.
