Veterans were recognized on Sunday at the Erie County Fair in Hamburg. They along with active members of the military received free admission with proper id.
On Sunday afternoon a veterans day parade took place at the Gusto Grandstand and one lucky veteran was awarded a new car through a vehicles for vets event.
In addition, a ceremony to honor all military branches took place at the Grandstand Infield. Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs was guest speaker at the event where several recruits were sworn in to the U.S Marine Corps. and a flag and rose ceremony occurred.
