Zoofari Shuttle hits the streets

Chris Caya WBFO News

The newest addition to the Buffalo Zoo was put in to service Thursday. The "Zoofari Shuttle" will provide round-trip transportation between the Zoo and an overflow parking lot at Medaille College. Zoo President & CEO Donna Fernandes says the shuttle and the parking is free.

"We have stanchions that will direct people, 'Lot is Full' and 'Alternate Parking at Medaille.' So we will be doing that on our Facebook page, Twitter, as well as our website. And then there will be daily signage to let you know the status of the parking, so when to go to the other lots," Fernandes said Thursday.

Fernandes says the shuttle service will operate on weekends during the Zoo's busy summer season. She says additional overflow parking is also available at the nearby Nichols School.
