A large crowd was on hand Wednesday for the launch of the East Ferry Street Photograph Project.
The outdoor exhibit, between Michigan and Masten Avenues, includes over 30 historic photographs from the neighborhood.
The project was conceived by Friends of the Buffalo Story founder, Mark Goldman.
"One of the purposes of our work is to demonstrate that there are no divisions. And those divisions can blend by learning our heritage," Goldman said.
Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown says the city applied for and received a $100,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to support the project.
The photos will be on display throughout the summer.
