A Newfane teacher is looking to clear his name after legal charges against him were dropped. Salvatore Anello, a 42-year-old art teacher, was arrested in January on charges of inappropriate contact, which was later defined as forcible touching. An investigation by the Niagara County District Attorney's office could not substantiate those claims and the charges have been dismissed.
At the time of the arrest, a letter was sent to all parents in the district alerting them to the situation.
