Monday may see temperatures at or above 70 degrees. If so, it would be the warmest day since winter came to Western New York.The rest of the week is expected to see highs in the 50s and 60s, and National Weather Service Meteorologist, Jim Mitchell, said cooler weather is likely the trend for the remainder of the month. Mitchell said traces of winter will have a hard time sticking around.
“As we get later in the month where the sun is so strong, if we get any kind of cooler air we’re talking just cooler. It doesn’t look like probably anymore snow. Maybe a colder rain, but temperatures usually rebound pretty quick this time of year. If you get any kind of cold shot behind a cold front it’s usually only one day.”
Mitchell said Monday’s weather is also expected to bring rain late in the day to areas of higher terrain, with mild rises in humidity.
