An extension has been granted for applications to the HEAP program. The New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance has moved the closing date to Friday March 27th for both regular and emergency components. A second HEAP emergency benefit has been established for those facing heat related emergencies, and this program will be available until March 9th.
To qualify for this benefit, applicants have exhausted or been ineligible for the first emergency program.
