If you saunter along Main Street in East Aurora today and spot Christmas trappings, there's no need to worry. You're not 10 months behind schedule. It's just that you've landed in the middle of a movie set.
Crews have started filming a romance called "Small Town Prince." Rich Wall, director of operations for the Buffalo Niagara Film Commission, said producers were looking for a venue with a small town feel. They also
needed plenty of snow in order visually convey the holiday timeframe for this tale about a European prince who is stranded in a small town and falls in love with a waitress.
Wall said crews have been in the region for the past week performing pre-production tasks. They're expected to continue filming at various sites in East Aurora for about two weeks.
