The Red Cross was called to assist after two fires in the Southern Tier. Nine people required assistance after a Friday night house fire in the Chautauqua County town of Ellington. Three of those who escaped the fire were adults. A fire in Cuba in Allegany County displaced 6 people early this morning. Red Cross personnel are providing all of the victims with vouchers for temporary housing, food and clothing.
The causes of the fires have not been released.
